Leslie

Spinning Profile:

Through twirling the baton and dancing her entire life, Leslie found her passion for fitness while in college at the University of Georgia. Leslie became certified in AFFA Primary Group Fitness during her freshman year and now maintains certifications in Schwinn Cycle, YogaFit, Les Mills BodyPump, and Les Mills BodyAttack. "If I had to chose a favorite class format to teach, it would most definitely be spinning. I enjoy motivating my participants through the intensity and helping them reach their fitness goals." With Leslie's background in performance, she likes using fun music and choreography to constantly switch up her classes. Come to her class for high intensity and leave feeling as if you just conquered the world! Leslie is new to the Chicago area moving here from Georgia last May.

Personal Training Profile:

Leslie likes to  think of exercise and fitness as a way of life. She encourages her clients to think of it as any other scheduled aspect of their lives – skipping it is not an option, and therefore it becomes a habit. That said, listening to one’s body is most important: push when you feel strong, ease up when you feel fatigued. Having a balanced workout regimen of cardio, strength, core work, and other forms such as yoga or pilates (combined with a healthy diet!) will provide one with the best results, whether the goal is weight loss, strength gains, or life-long health and fitness.

Kim

Spinning Profile:
Kim became an avid cyclist at age 12 when her dad gave her his old Motobecane road bike. Despite the indelicate bruises from hitting the top tube repeatedly, Kim was hooked for life. When Spinning hit the group fitness scene, she hopped on it. In 2003, she became certified to lead indoor rides and has been teaching ever since. While Kim is passionate about outdoor cycling, she loves Spinning because it is the perfect training tool. “It provides conditioning for the outdoor cyclist or triathlete, cross-training for the runner and a challenging, effective workout for everyone.” In Kim’s class, you will gain strength and speed by riding the varied terrain, sprints and intervals to a wide selection of music (and singing along is always allowed). “No matter what your fitness level, I will challenge you to crush that ride. The group vibe will inspire you to feel good about your efforts and have a great time. You will want to come back for more.” Kim works as a certified personal trainer and believes Spinning, training for an event, losing weight, or becoming stronger aren’t merely short-term goals; they are part of a bigger picture – to live a healthy and balanced life as an active individual.
