When it comes to hair loss products there is debate over which is the best course of treatment; for example it could be said a hair transplant is the best thing to do, after all it is the only treatment that is known to be permanent. However it is costly, painful and not guaranteed to work. Prescription medication gets a shout too, but this also has its drawbacks because although it can and does work, the side effects from it can outweigh the benefits because it can leave a man impotent. So, this all said and done, what is the best hair loss product?
Well the one thing that has got a lot of peoples attention is minoxidil. This is an FDA approved product and the reason for the attention it is getting is because of the way it brings the DHT from reaching the scalp. In case you are unaware, DHT is the chemical that is produced when testosterone mixes inside you with 5 alpha reductase (a naturally produced enzyme). If you have inherited the genes which means you will suffer from pattern baldness, then this will allow the DHT that has been made to attach to the follicles which they make thinner and thinner until the follicles no longer produce hair.
There are a couple of companies that are using minoxidil in their hair loss products, but of them all, for me the best hair loss product is Provillus. The reason I name them is because not only do you have the minoxidil which you are applying to the scalp to prevent the DHT attaching to the follicles, but additionally the manufacturing of the DHT is hindered too, and this makes the minoxidil more potent.
This is done by using a combination of traditionally derived products which interfere in the production in the following way: –
- Saw Palmetto – A herb that is becoming well known for its properties in fighting off baldness. This is because it inhibits production of 5 alpha reductase.
- Zinc – As well as having properties that assist with hair growth, this too reduces the amount of 5 alpha reductase in the body.
- Nettle Root – The properties of this herb are that it mops up the free testosterone in the blood.
